Job DescriptionJob DescriptionEMH&T is looking for a Civil Engineer, EI to join our Water Resource team located in Columbus, OH. Our EIs work under the guidance of experienced Engineers and Project Managers who provide mentorship and support throughout your career development. Additionally, EMH&T offers a dedicated support team to train you on our drafting and design standards, ensuring you are well-prepared for success in this role.Our Water Resources team has earned a strong reputation for engineering excellence and is consistently at the forefront of many of the public and private sector projects that are shaping the future of Central Ohio and beyond. ResponsibilitiesPerform field assessments and complete the associated technical documentation. Assist with and/or lead the development of technical proposals. Assist with and/or lead client meetings, including development of agendas and managing follow-up work assignments. Support the team by performing quality control reviews. Desired SkillsAbility to apply engineering knowledge to practical design challenges.Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Work independently after receiving appropriate guidance. Collaborate effectively with team members in a supportive and cooperative environment.Work both independently and also as part of a collaborative team with professionals from other EMH&T practice areas for delivery of an overall project. Ability to utilize AutoCAD and GIS in support of site design and to augment stormwater and floodplain management studies, as well as the ability to assist in technical writing to prepare a variety of engineering documents and reports, preferred. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering.Experience in the field of water resources engineering with a consulting firm or regulating agency, preferred.
