Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set experience qualifications and other job-related addition to competitive compensation packages Intertek employees are eligible for a variety of benefits including paid time off paid holidays paid parental leave medical plan options dental vision life and disability insurance a 401(k) plan with company matching tuition reimbursement and more.What youll do:Provide support in geotechnical field investigations including logging of soils borings performing percolation testing and conducting soils strength testingAssist in preparing cost estimates and proposalsPerform engineering analysis under the guidance of a professional engineerReview project plans and specifications prepared by othersAttend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teamsPerform testing and inspection tasks in the field and laboratory regularlyOperate testing equipment conduct testing and provide assessment of data through reportingMay manage projects train and oversee technicians and review field and lab dataThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:Bachelor ofScience Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited engineering / ABET SchoolrequiredKnowledge in civil engineering fundamentals and soil mechanicsAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communicationAbility to periodically work off shifts and overtimeValid Drivers License and reliable driving record requiredAbility to lift move push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally over 50 pounds with assistanceAbility to kneel and squat occasionallyAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)Ability to climb and work at heights occasionallyMay travel overnight occasionallyPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:Engineer-in-Training Certificate is highly preferredAbility to obtain a PE within 6 months preferred3 to 5 years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience is highly preferredIntertek: Total Quality.
