Claims Initiation Representative
We are excited to bring on a Telephonic Initiation Representative to join our claimant excellence team supporting Group Protection in a remote environment. As a Telephonic Initiation Representative, you will be responsible for answering claimants calls regarding disability and FMLA claims in a call center environment. You will be the first point in contact for the employee (member) and initiating claims or leaves to provide a positive customer experience during their specific challenge. As a member of the team, you will educate the customer on their claim or leave needs and advise of next steps in the process. This opportunity will provide insight into the world of group insurance administration while gaining new skills through a defined career pathing and development program.
Communicate with roughly 50-60 customers throughout the day, answering questions and initiating their claim through the utilization of multiple applications and platforms. Provide education to the customer/employer regarding the product (primary products: FMLA and disability) while having a strong focus on attention to detail to ensure the claim/leave is taken and notated appropriately. Communicate effectively through email/phone with internal/external stakeholders in a customer centric and professional demeanor while recognizing what needs to be done to meet customers' expectations and demonstrates flexibility/responsiveness to meet customer needs on routine work independently. Identifies, recommends and champions process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality.
Training Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00am 5:30pm EST 6 weeks (no time off during training). Regular Full Time Schedule: Must be available to work an 8 hour shift Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 11:00pm EST.
Must-have experience (Required): High School Diploma or GED 0-1+ years of administrative support, customer service and/or data entry that directly with the specific responsibilities for this position Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Must-have capabilities: Must have internet bandwidth of 12 Mbps (Megabits per second). Preferred bandwidth is 25 Mbps to perform at full capacity.
Nice-to have Experience (Preferred): Data entry and research experience in a fast-paced environment Ability to maneuver through multiple systems as needed

The pay range for this position is $22.31 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
