Responsibilities

The qualified candidate must be able to provide immediate liability claim services for Walt Disney World Resort guests. Must exhibit outstanding customer service with an understanding of the importance of brand management. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to having the ability to conduct onsite investigations, evaluate liability case exposure and resolve claims directly with guests and attorneys. Candidates should be comfortable presenting to an audience and will be asked to provide training to leaders across the Resort and participate in initiatives to meet department’s goals.  Candidates must be willing to have periodic on-call responsibilities, which in some cases will necessitate responding to incidents after hours.  

Basic Qualifications

  • Florida 520 or 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License in Good Standing
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of property and casualty insurance and claims handling
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills, including scene investigations, evaluation and negotiation of liability claims.   
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures and handle multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated familiarity with automated claims administration and management systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical and legal terminology
  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to deliver effective presentations to various levels of leaders, including executives
  • Proven ability to deliver concise and informative written summaries in memo and presentation format, with appropriate business writing and usage of professional grammar
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated strong relationship-building, negotiating, and influencing abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical and legal terminology
  • Ability to work in multiple computer programs and in a paperless claims environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience handling liability claims (Including Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Auto BI, PIP, Auto Property Damage, Discrimination, ADA Compliance and subrogation, etc.)
  • Previous experience handling Florida claims
  • Proven bilingual ability

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
