Job TitleCleaner 2nd shiftJob Description SummaryThe Cleaner is a position within the line of operations of C&W Services. The incumbent is responsible for performing the day-to-day and periodic cleaning activities in assigned work areas. Performs routine cleaning of general offices restrooms lobbies and corridors and exterior areas as directed using prescribed procedures. Basic responsibilities may include any combination of the following: the emptying of waste baskets; dusting spot cleaning care of furniture desktops telephones glass surfaces upholstered surfaces; basic floor servicing (including scrubbing buffing sweeping and vacuuming) cleaning of fixtures floors and walls; and the policing of waste in restrooms. Specific responsibilities for everyone are determined by client expectations Account Manager/Supervisor discretion and cleaner capabilities and experience.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesPerforms daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas as directed.Maintains a neat and orderly work area including janitorial closets and storage areas.Performs all cleaning assignments in accordance with C&W Services approved procedures.Maintains cleaning equipment in good working condition and notifies the Account Manager or Supervisor if repair or replacement is necessary.Maintains appropriate supply levels in assigned janitorial closets and storage areas. Works safely at all times and promptly informs management about unsafe conditions existing in the work area.Wears personal protective equipment appropriate for the task being performed.Meets all client and C&W Services quality expectations in assigned tasks.Assists in orientation and training for new employees as directed.Adheres to proper security procedures.Notifies management about problems or opportunities that affect service to the client.Washing of windowsills; glass in interior doors partition and specified windows.Washing glass and trim at entrance doors interior/exterior- Wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.Collect building trash daily placing it in approved container and place in designated collection area for subsequent removal.Performs other cleaning-related duties as required.Utilization of a Kaivac machine Performs restroom procedures:Damp wipe glass surfacesEmpty waste baskets service soap and toilet paper dispensersDust sills etc.Clean tile walls shelves stall partitionsSweep mopping or scrubbing.Monitors defects such as clogged urinals and lights out and report to supervisors.Performs floor care procedures:Damp mop and spray buff wash floorsPerforms periodic work:High dusting leather and wood surface (non-floor) polishing wall washing as assigned by the Supervisor.Occasional over time is mandatory to help with special projects.Job duties subject to change QualificationsBasic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.Ability to speak and read English is a plus and may be required by some clients.Must be able to take direction to work with minimal supervision and to function cooperatively as part of a team.Ability to use cleaning tools.Requires attention to detail a pride in delivering excellent service organization and high levels of energy and enduranceCushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs generally including health vision and dental insurance flexible spending accounts health savings accounts retirement savings plans life and disability insurance programs and paid and unpaid time away from addition to a comprehensive benefits package Cushman and Wakefield provide eligible employees with competitive pay which may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location date of hire total hours worked job type business line and applicability of collective bargaining agreements.The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement the geographic area in which the work will be performed market pay rates in that area and the candidates experience and qualifications.The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.The compensation for the position is: $11.90 - $14.00C&W Services is an Equal Opportunity employer to all protected groups including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
