Candidates will be contacted as needed, each semester, based on student enrollment numbers and program requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, semester-based work with the potential for ongoing, recurring opportunities. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of clinical experience in an acute care or long-term care setting. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdheres to learning objectives as stated in course syllabiCollaborate and consistently communicate with the course coordinator for implementation of weekly objectivesEffectively uses technology tools such as Docucare, ATI, CanvasEvaluate performance of learning outcomesEnforces appropriate rules and expectations of students in clinical, lab, or simulation that comply with AACC Nursing department’s policies and proceduresProvide timely feedback to students of their clinical performanceComplete the formative and summative assessment accuratelySubmits all the required clinical forms to the course coordinators including the Formative & Summative Directed Lab Evaluation formsResponds in a timely manner to emails, information requests, and required reports from college (e.g. attendance reports and clinical evaluation tools)Comply with the current clinical partner’s onboarding requirements and AACC’s employment requirementMaintain confidentiality of student informationAttends and participates in nursing faculty meetings, staff meetings, and college activities as required by college administrationRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)Minimum of two years of active nursing experienceRecent clinical experience, preferably in acute care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, mental health site, outpatient departments, or urgent care centersDemonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and to apply inclusive teaching practicesStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanorUnencumbered professional nursing license in Maryland or a Compact (NLC) stateCurrent CPR certificationPreferred Qualifications:Teaching or clinical instruction experience at the undergraduate levelMSN Degree Advertised: 23 Jan 2023 Eastern Standard TimeApplications close:WhatsappFacebookLinkedInEmail App if (typeof SocialShareKit != 'undefined') { SocialShareKit.init({ forceInit: true, reinitialize: true, selector: '.social-share-kit .ssk' }); }
