This faculty position is full-time (1.0 FTE) on the multi-mission, non-tenure track. This position will serve an active role in the clinical, educational, and scholarly life of the Department and the College of Medicine. Responsibilities include providing inpatient consult-liaison (CL) psychiatry services, including providing initial psychiatric consultations and follow-up patient care at UF Shands Hospital, a 1,111 bed Level 1 trauma center with a children's hospital, NCI-designated cancer institute, neuromedicine hospital and highly ranked solid organ transplant programs. The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to explore and develop interests in outpatient CL populations and in integrated psychiatric care in the primary care setting. In accordance with the crucial role that education plays in the UF Department of Psychiatry, the successful candidate for this position will also serve an important role in clinical education through supervision and teaching of UF medical students, psychiatry residents, and fellows. Opportunities to develop and/or participate in clinical research and/or quality improvement projects are available, and clinical scholarship is strongly encouraged. This position will report to the Directors of the Division of CL Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry at UF. As a member of the clinical faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at UF, the position will require participation in on-call coverage of the UF Psychiatric Hospital. Rank is commensurate with education and experience.Required Qualifications: Applicants must be Board Certified and/or Board Eligible for a M.D. in Psychiatry and must have or be able to obtain a state of Florida Medical License. ABPN Board eligibility/certification in Psychiatry is required. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred. ABPN Board eligibility/certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated record of clinical excellence, experience serving vulnerable populations, as well as scholarly or teaching interest in an academic medical center.
