Across South Carolina, we are making veterans a priority for employment and recognize their vital contributions to our state and our communities.Advertised Job Summary:The Department of Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina(USC) is inviting applications for a clinical faculty position (non-tenure track) in our Physical Therapy Program (DPT) with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2026 at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor.The successful candidate will teach courses in neurologic physical therapy, orthopedic physical therapy, musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology, or other courses within area of expertise, advise DPT students, supervise DPT student projects, participate in service to the program and community, and engage in scholarship. The position is a 12-month position with rank and salary commensurate with experience and expertise.The USC DPT program is a fully accredited entry-level program that is housed within the nationally recognized Department of Exercise Science in the Arnold School of Public Health. The small class size of 30 DPT students allows clinical faculty to creatively use a wide variety of learning approaches while also allowing substantial time for scholarly activity.The University of South Carolina is in the capital city of Columbia. It is a research-intensive University and has been designated by the Carnegie Foundation as a doctoral institution with highest research activity. USC has also been designated a community engaged institution, making it one of few public universities to earn both the top-tier research classification and the community engagement classification from Carnegie. Centrally located, Columbia is two hours from the South Carolina coast and the Blue Ridge Mountains.Required Education and Experience:All candidates must have the following:A degree in physical therapy (e.g., BS, MPT, or DPT).
