Clinical Coordinator III- College of NursingJob No: 538117Work Type: Full TimeLocation: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)Categories: Academic Advising/Support, NursingDepartment: 31000000 - COLLEGE-NURSINGJob Description Classification Title: Clinical Coordinator III- College of NursingClassification Minimum Requirements: Master's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Job Description: Responsible for securing, coordinating, and overseeing clinical placements for College of Nursing students. Ensures alignment with UF College of Nursing preceptor guidelines and supports academic and professional development of students through effective clinical partnerships, compliance management, and faculty collaboration. Will serve as part of the UF CON Immersive Experiential Learning team and contribute to the planning and implementation of events, programs, and experiences for students, faculty, and staff. Clinical Placement Coordination and Site Management Coordinate and manage student clinical placements across all nursing tracks. Collaborate with track coordinators to identify, secure, and retain clinical sites that align with curricular needs. Ensure placements are secured prior to the start of each semester and address any mid-semester changes as needed. Maintain and update site contracts, documentation, and affiliation agreements in coordination with UF legal. Establish and nurture relationships with clinical site representatives through regular virtual or in-person meetings. Partner with UF College of Nursing Marketing and program leadership to promote the College to potential clinical partners. Ensure all placements meet UF College of Nursing preceptor guidelines and site-specific onboarding requirements.Preceptor and Faculty Support Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new preceptors and clinical faculty. Facilitate ongoing communication and support to ensure preceptors are equipped to mentor students effectively. Assist in the evaluation of preceptor performance and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.Student Compliance and Readiness Monitoring Monitor student compliance with clinical site requirements, including immunizations, background checks, and training modules. Ensure students are fully prepared and cleared for clinical placement prior to the start of each rotation. Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and clinical sites to resolve compliance-related issues. Clinical Hours Tracking and Evaluation Oversee the tracking and approval of student clinical hours in accordance with program requirements. Coordinate the collection and review of student evaluations from preceptors and faculty. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of clinical experiences for accreditation and licensure purposes. Program Development and Evaluation Lead the ongoing development and evaluation of clinical education components within nursing programs.Drive strategic planning initiatives to expand clinical site networks and enhance student learning outcomes.Oversee data analysis and reporting to inform program improvements and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.Expected Salary: $65,000-$75,000 commensurate with education and experience Required Qualifications: Masters degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing. Active RN or APRN license in the state of Florida. 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in advanced practice or academic settings. Experience in clinical coordination, preceptorship, or nursing education. Familiarity with clinical placement management systems such as Exxat or similar platforms. Strong understanding of clinical compliance requirements and onboarding processes.
