Job Description
DescriptionAssists in the design and development of biomedical-related engineering systems; possesses knowledge of tools design techniques and underlying theory relevant to their discipline; Demonstrates good written and verbal skills; regularly summarizes and communicates the results of work efforts to project team members and management in a clear concise and timely manner; accomplishes assigned tasks and manages multiple priorities. Understands relevant components of the Divisions quality management system and participates in safety risk management activities. Is a self-starter who excels in a multi-disciplinary development environment. Communicates effectively in writing and conversation.Skillsets in medical imaging software CAD 3D printing and strong communication to collaborate with medical professionals as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements like FDA guidelines. Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams to design and develop anatomical models and surgical guides.Convert medical imaging data (CT MRI) into 3D models.Design and develop patient-matched anatomical models and surgical guides.Perform 3D printing and post-processing of the models.Collaborate with surgeons radiologists engineers and other medical professionals.Ensure models meet quality management and safety risk management requirements.Document and communicate results to project teams and management.Have education and exposure to FDA compliant quality management techniquesPossess a high level of communication skills and can collaborate with other medical professionals including engineers radiologists surgeons medical specialists qualified healthcare professionals (QHCPs e.g. nurse practitioners and physicians assistants) radiology technologists and healthcare technology management techniciansFlexible and innovative working through design iterations to meet the needs of the provider and can efficiently and effectively solve problems in real timeThis vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.QualificationsBachelors in engineering (e.g. biomedical industrial)or related field.
