Requisition Number:AS64PJob Title:Clinical/Field Experience Staff, Surgical TechnologyPay Rate:$63.30 - $71.28 hourlyPosition Type:SupportPosition Summary:This position supports student achievement and implementation of the core curriculum for the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) accredited program at the College. The clinical faculty member has the responsibility and accountability for evaluating the student in the clinical or laboratory setting and monitoring performance goals. Professional communication and accountability in all modalities are cornerstones of this role.Required Minimum Qualifications:1. Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program with a minimum of a certificate of accomplishment in surgical technology 2. Current credential as a Certified Surgical Technologist, CST 3. Two years of current experience in the operating room in the scrub role 4. Ability to push, lift, and pull a minimum of 20 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation 5. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time 6. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR Certification 7. Proof of immunizations and titers for MMR, varicella, TB, Hepatitis B, Tetanus, and annual Flu vaccine, or valid documentation of alternatives 8. Clear background check, drug screen, and fingerprintingDesired Qualifications:1. Associate degree in surgical technology or higher degree in a technical field 2. Teaching experience in surgical technology education 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills 4. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse communityWork Schedule:Varied hours between 6:45am to 3:00pm; Monday to Friday.
