Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist Acute Care Hospital (Contract North Dakota Region)OverviewA leading regional acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist to support its inpatient pharmacy services. This position involves verifying medication orders overseeing dispensing processes and providing clinical pharmacotherapy support to interdisciplinary teams. The role is well-suited for pharmacists with recent acute care experience who enjoy a collaborative fast-paced hospital environment. This is a contract assignment with competitive weekly compensation.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive order verification for accuracy safety and adherence to clinical protocolsOversee medication preparation and dispensing in accordance with hospital and regulatory standardsProvide therapeutic drug monitoring and clinical interventions to optimize patient outcomesCollaborate with physicians nurses and other care team members to support evidence-based medication managementParticipate in antimicrobial stewardship and other clinical pharmacy initiativesRespond to medication-related inquiries from healthcare staffReview and adjust medication regimens based on lab values patient conditions and clinical guidelinesSupport transitions of care through medication reconciliation activitiesEnsure compliance with controlled substance management and documentation proceduresMaintain accurate records within the electronic health record and pharmacy systemsContribute to quality improvement efforts within the pharmacy departmentQualificationsActive pharmacist license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain)Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient or acute care pharmacy experienceStrong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical therapeuticsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary settingUp-to-date resume with full work historyProfessional references validating clinical experienceCompletion of a pharmacy skills or competency checklist (as required)Work Environment & ScheduleContract assignment approximately 30 weeks in duration within a regional acute care hospital serving the North Dakota area.
