Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist Acute Care Hospital (Contract California Region)OverviewA regional acute care hospital in the California area is seeking an experienced Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment. The pharmacist will support core inpatient pharmacy services including medication verification dispensing and clinical medication management across diverse patient populations. This role is ideal for pharmacists with recent acute care experience who thrive in a collaborative fast-paced hospital environment. Competitive weekly compensation is offered.Key ResponsibilitiesVerify medication orders for accuracy safety and compliance with clinical guidelinesPrepare and dispense medications following hospital state and federal standardsProvide pharmacotherapy support including dose adjustments and therapeutic drug monitoringPerform medication regimen reviews for interactions contraindications and optimization opportunitiesParticipate in interdisciplinary communication to support evidence-based medication managementPerform sterile and non-sterile compounding as requiredDocument operational activities and clinical interventions within the electronic health recordAssist with medication reconciliation and support transitions of careRespond to medication-related questions from clinical staffContribute to inventory control including controlled substance oversightSupport departmental quality and patient safety initiativesQualificationsActive pharmacist license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain)Recent inpatient or acute care hospital pharmacy experience requiredStrong knowledge of clinical therapeutics and hospital pharmacy workflowsExperience with electronic medical record systemsAbility to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsUpdated resume and professional references requiredExperience with sterile compounding preferredWork Environment & ScheduleThirteen-week contract at a regional acute care hospital serving the California area.
