Lurie Childrens Hospital of ChicagoJob DescriptionCollaborates with Director/Senior Director/VP within designated area of responsibility to manage patient care operations and ensure the delivery of excellent patient care. Works with the leadership team to create a work environment that engages staff in the attainment of department and organizational goals and vision. Understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care the needs of the neonatal pediatric adolescent and adult patient regarding their growth and development process. Actively practices high reliability principles. Supports patient/family and employee experience through promotion of a healthy and innovative work environment conducive to attaining these goals.Essential Job Functions:Collaborates with the department leadership team and manages daily operations to ensure the highest quality care patient engagement regulatory compliance and patient safety.Develops implements and monitors the effectiveness of operational processes and procedures.Leads process improvement initiatives to ensure high quality outcomes.Optimizes employee scheduling and department staffing.Oversees payroll time management and compliance with policies.Serves as a clinical and operational resource.AssistsDirector in monitoring productivity financial management and variance reporting. Responds to trends to assure fiscal accountability.Serves as leader and guide to manage complex projects within department and organization.Facilitates timely communication and collaboration within departments and across the organization. Masters degree preferred Graduate of a CoARC accredited program in respiratory care.Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Illinois.Active RRT Credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) from the National Board for Respiratory Care.Basic Life Support Certification through AHA. PALS and NRP within the first year of employment.Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential by the NBRC within one year of hire.Possesses a broad knowledge of issues trends practices and systems related to pediatric health care delivery acquired through a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in neonatal and/or pediatric critical care.Demonstrates excellent leadership skills ability to work with a team; excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to provide leadership in a collaborative and facilitative style.EducationBachelors Degree (Required)Pay Range$93600.00-$154440.00 SalaryAt Lurie Childrens we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity reflecting individual contributions experience and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position.
