JOB DESCRIPTION
Clinical Services Supervisor
The Clinical Services Supervisor (CSS) works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by cultivating an environment that produces excellent patient-centered care and clinical services within a dynamic team setting. This role will ensure smooth workflow for clinical staff by monitoring quality measures and productivity goals. In addition, this role will support staff development by demonstrating and living the company values. The responsibilities and performance expectations for this role fall into three categories: staff management and development, clinical administration, and operations management.
Responsibilities include supervising medical assistants and lab assistants work shifts to ensure sufficient coverage, assisting with new hire orientation for new hires and ongoing training for clinic team, including completion of a proficiency checklists, monitoring support staff trainings to ensure employees attend required and ongoing trainings to perform their jobs and compliance, assigning medical assistants to providers and care teams based on continuity of care, skill levels, and workload demands, working with management to prepare agendas for department and site meetings, arranging logistics of medical staff meetings, including coordination of drug representative presentations, preparing and conducting 90-day and annual performance reviews for all direct reports, working with management and HR to provide timely and objective performance counseling, coordinating with lab management to ensure lab assistants are completing necessary logs and documentation, monitoring the Electronic Medical Records System to ensure clinical team is documenting care transformation activities (PCMH/MU) daily, matching new patients to appropriate providers or appropriate service to promote continuity of care, providing guidance for policies, procedures, and various funding sources to support staff, assisting in developing written policies and procedures for the operational aspect of clinical services, working with clinical team to provide comprehensive healthcare to patients, monitoring patient satisfaction surveys process to ensure surveys are sent to appropriate entities, monitoring, ordering, and maintaining inventory systems for clinical supplies and clinical equipment, as needed, impacting patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy, sharing accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with care teams, operating to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders.
Supervision includes recommending or making decisions to hire, transfer, reward, discipline or terminate employees, assessing training needs and promoting developmental activities, conducting team meetings to promote communication, assess and resolve needs, and foster teamwork, as needed, evaluating, coaching, and developing team performance by using job requirements and competency assessments, informing team of organizational activities and promoting mission and goals.
Education/Experience includes an associate's degree or equivalent experience required, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment. These courses must follow AHA guidelines, but may be completed through approved online providers such as ProMed or other equivalent programs that meet recognized BLS standards. Experience working in healthcare preferred, supervisory experience preferred, completion of project LEAP preferred (Internals Only), bilingual (English/Spanish) or (English/Arabic) preferred by site.
Additional qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) include excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills, ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, knowledgeable about and experience with monitoring performance metrics, ability to function at highest level according to credentials and competency, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously, excellent planning and organizational ability, ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner.
Physical requirements include ability to lift/carry 10 lbs/weight, ability to stand for long periods of time.
Compliance (Safety & HIPAA) includes following all safety procedures as outlined in Neighborhood Healthcare's Illness and Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP) and report any injuries and/or unsafe conditions immediately, maintaining current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to safe work practices, following all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions, use appropriate body mechanics to ensure an injury free environment, be familiar with location of nearest fire extinguisher and emergency exits, follow all infection control procedures including blood-borne pathogen protocols, maintain privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information and access such information only on a need-to-know basis for business purposes, comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations, report all behavior and/or activity that are unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful.

Pay range: $73,500.00 to $104,400.00 annually, depending on experience and additional qualifications.
Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate's overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs.
