Orthopaedic Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Surgeon(Assistant, Associate, Full Professor)Job No: 526678Work Type: Full TimeLocation: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)Categories: Medicine/PhysiciansDepartment: 29170000 - MD-ORTHOPAEDICS - REHABJob Description Classification Title: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, ProfessorJob Description: The University of Florida's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is currently seeking a full-time academic board certified or board eligible Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position will be Associate Professor or Professor on a tenure-accruing or non-tenure accruing track. Title and salary will be commensurate with experience and academic qualifications. Responsibilities will include patient care and teaching with emphasis on joint surgery. Efforts toward extramural funded research is also encouraged.Expected Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and academic qualifications.Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate will have completed an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency, a one-year or greater Adult Reconstructive Joint Fellowship and passed Part 1 of the Orthopaedic Surgery Boards Examination. MD or DO degree is required and the candidate must be eligible for an unrestricted Florida Medical License.Preferred Qualifications:Special Instructions to Applicants: Qualified applicants can apply by submitting a cover letter and curriculum vitae. Final Candidate will be required to submit 3 letters of recommendation and an official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered “official” if a designation of “Issued to Student” is visible. Degrees earned from an educational institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approved by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
