The Clinical Supervisor models and develops patient-focused culture with an emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction. They also maintain a positive and collaborative relationship within the clinical environment by coaching developing and empowering staff. The Clinical Supervisor serves as a clinical expert within the scope of the practice and program guidelines.Essential Functions:Manages day-to-day supervision of the clinical delivery of servicesPlan implement and administer programs and services including personnel administration training and coordination of medical nursing and practice staffAppropriately trains new staff on clinical and administrative duties and trains current staff on procedures or equipment as neededProvides input regarding associate performance evaluations delivers performance feedback and coaching to clinical staff to assist with workflow improvement/efficiencyMust possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptlyProvides oversight for scheduling and timekeepingOther duties as assignedEducation:High School Degree or GEDLicensure/Certification:Must possess one of the following:Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure with medication and IV privilegesActive Medical Assisting CertificationBasic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (preferred upon hire required within 90 days of hire)Experience:Two years of practical nursing or medical assisting experience within a healthcare setting preferably within a physician practice (required)Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience (required)Skills & Abilities:Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position including excellent communication customer service continuous quality improvement relationship development and decision makingPossesses extensive knowledge of clinical practice or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environmentMercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.As a Mercy Health associate youre part of a Misson that matters.
