DescriptionInova Schar Cancer Institute - Loudoun is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team at our infusion center . Communicates and collaborates with care team members to implement the plan of care to meet individualized and developmental patient care outcomes. Partners with the Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to gain the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care and utilizes information to continuously improve patient care and practice while enhancing outcomes.Clinical technician Job Responsibilities:Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.Provides basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.Demonstrates competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.Completes assigned patient duties within the established time frame.Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care.May perform additional duties as assigned.Shift: Days (6:30am-5:00pm)Schedule:Four10hour shifts per weekTraining:All candidates must be able to attend a 6 week training course*If you are interested in learning more about a day in the life of a clinical technician please select the following link: Working As A Clinical Technician(2 Mins)Minimum Qualifications: :Education:High School graduate or equivalent.Certification:BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).Preferred qualifications:Healthcare experience preferredRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Children Activity,Feed,ASP.NET,Corporate Strategy,Health And Safety Management Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
