DescriptionInova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the Oncology and Post-Op Unit. This role will be full time Days 7AM - 7.30PM. Three 12 hours shifts per week days vary rotating weekends. Communicates and collaborates with care team members to implement the plan of care to meet individualized and developmental patient care outcomes. Partners with the Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to gain the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care and utilizes information to continuously improve patient care and practice while enhancing outcomes.Job ResponsibilitiesAssists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.Provides basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.Demonstrates competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.Completes assigned patient duties within the established time frame.Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care.May perform additional duties as assigned.Shift:Days 7AM - 7.30PMSchedule:Three12hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation)Training:Candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training period*If you are interested in learning more about a day in the life of a clinical technician please select the following link: Working As A Clinical Technician(2 Mins)Clinical Technician Requirements:Experience:Healthcare experience preferred.Education:High School graduate or equivalent.Certification:BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).Training:Candidate must be able to attend a 6week trainingRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Hospital Experience,Acute Care,Basic Life Support,ICU Experience,Infusion Experience,Triage,TFS,Conflict Management,Nursing,Critical Care Experience,Epic,Medication Administration Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
