Sr. AWS Cloud Technical Expert (15+ yrs of exp) (AWS, IAM, Landing Zone, AI/ML, MLOps, Security)
What is in it for you?
We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Cloud Technical Expert to support a rapid advisory engagement for a healthcare client. The primary focus of this role is to review, validate, and assess an AWS-based AI development environment, identify gaps, and recommend remediations to ensure readiness for secure AI and ML development.
This is a hands-on, senior-level advisory role requiring deep technical expertise, strong architectural skills, and healthcare domain experience.
Responsibilities: -
AWS Cloud Technical Expert
Conduct a comprehensive technical review of an existing AWS Landing Zone (LZA)–based environment.
Evaluate architecture, configurations, IAM policies, networking, compute, storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
Assess readiness for AI/ML development tools and platforms, including:
- Amazon SageMaker
- Amazon Bedrock
- Jupyter and other notebook tools
- AI agent/orchestration frameworks
- Package management and data connectivity patterns
Analyze existing setup for compliance with AWS best practices and healthcare industry requirements.
Produce a detailed gap analysis report with prioritized remediation recommendations.
Partner with cloud security teams to ensure HIPAA-aligned architecture and data workflows.
Provide expert advisory support to client technical teams during a fast-paced assessment sprint.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in cloud engineering/architecture with extensive hands-on expertise in AWS.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, or reviewing AWS Landing Zone (LZA) or similar enterprise cloud foundations.
- Deep technical knowledge in:
- VPC architecture: Subnets, Transit Gateway, routing, and network security
- IAM: Identity Federation, RBAC, least privilege principles
- AWS core services: S3, EBS, EC2, Lambda, EKS, Containers
- AI/ML services: Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock
- Strong understanding of secure development environments and MLOps workflows.
- Experience working with healthcare or regulated industries (highly preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for delivering client-facing recommendations and presentations.
