We support virtual working arrangements in certain states outside of WI.A Day in the Life:The Cloud Engineer operates under minimal supervision in an agile team environment and plays a pivotal role in building maintaining and improving our operating environment across cloud platforms. This position is responsible for implementing maintaining and administrating technical solutions primarilyhosted on cloud-based platforms with primary focus on the AWS platform.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and implement technical efforts to design build and deploy cloud-hosted solutionsParticipate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud-based solutionsEducate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives providing associated training when necessaryMonitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements and standardsTroubleshoot issues and outages and assist other teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysisPartner with colleagues to help each other grow expertise in legacy current and emerging technologies Build and maintain documentation of internal systems and usage of external systemsAssist other teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysisProvide advanced technical support when needed by other teams or your teamPerform routine and scheduled audits of all systems including backupsEssential to Your Success:Working knowledge of cloud services Familiarity with Infrastructure as CodeExperience transforming legacy on-prem solutions to properly designed cloud-based solutionsKnowledge of system security data backup and recoveryFamiliarity with various operating system platformsResourcefulness and problem-solving aptitudeExcellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Experience with cloud-compatible monitoring tools and logging solutionsTechnologies in use:AWSAzureVMware (VMC VCDR)ForgeRockCloudFormationTerraformEducation Preferred: 4 year degree preferred in Computer Science Information Technology/Systems or other related field.
