Role: Cloud Migration Lead Engineer Location: Trenton New Jersey Experience: 12 Years Employment Type: Contract Interview Type: In-Person or Webcam Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Lead Engineer to guide our organization through large-scale cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms migration strategies and enterprise architecture and will be responsible for leading technical teams planning migration projects and ensuring smooth adoption of cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects including planning execution and post-migration support. Assess current infrastructure and applications to determine cloud readiness and migration strategy. Design cloud architectures that meet business security and compliance requirements. Collaborate with IT teams application owners and business stakeholders to ensure seamless migration. Develop and maintain migration documentation runbooks and best practices. Identify and mitigate risks resolve technical challenges and ensure minimal disruption to business operations. Evaluate and recommend tools technologies and processes to improve cloud migration efficiency. Mentor and guide technical teams on cloud technologies and migration practices. Ensure compliance with organizational policies security standards and regulatory requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications Minimum 12 years of IT experience with significant experience in cloud architecture and migration projects. Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies tools and best practices. Experience with virtualization networking storage and enterprise IT infrastructure. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python PowerShell Terraform Ansible). Excellent problem-solving troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders. Experience with security compliance and governance in cloud environments. Proven track record of leading large-scale complex migration projects.
