Cloudflare Architect / DNS Engineer Hybrid - Chicago IL 60606 Key Skill - DNS & Cloudflare Responsibilities Understanding of DNS environment and domain management in Route 53 Godaddy migration of domain/ transfers. Architecture & Design Develop and maintain enterprise-level architectures using Cloudflare services (CDN WAF Zero Trust DDoS protection Workers etc.). Design secure and scalable solutions for web applications APIs and edge computing. Implementation & Optimization Lead deployment of Cloudflare products across multiple environments. Optimize performance through caching strategies load balancing and traffic routing. Security & Compliance Implement Zero Trust frameworks IAM policies and secure access solutions. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Partner with IT DevOps and Security teams to integrate Cloudflare solutions. Provide technical leadership mentoring and documentation for best practices. Establish monitoring dashboards and alerts for Cloudflare services. Troubleshoot performance availability and security issues proactively. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect / Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Cloudflare services. Deep understanding of network security CDN technologies DNS and edge computing. Hands-on experience with Cloudflare Workers Zero Trust and Access. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and integration with Cloudflare. Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell Python Terraform). Excellent communication and documentation skills. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills Cloudflare certifications or equivalent cloud security certifications. Experience in large-scale enterprise deployments. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
