Club Registrar
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is Austin's leading youth development agency currently serving more than 3,500 kids in the Austin Area. This is a part time, nonexempt position with up to 29 hours per week.
The Club Registrar will serve as a first point of contact representative of BGCAA's Home Club and membership programs. The Club Registrar communicates the Home Club's programs, services, and mission, primarily focused on its growing membership. Typical hours are afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
Key responsibilities:
- Serves as a vital communication link between the Home Club and its members, the community, and the general public
- Disseminates information regarding our programs, services, and mission
- Renew members and provide general member services
- Data enter membership transactions
- Assist with member events as needed
- Maintain organization of membership materials and report when inventory is running low
- Maintains all collections-related schedules
- Other duties as assigned
English and Spanish speaking preferred
Minimum qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
- 1-year work experience in customer service working with diverse populations
Preferred qualifications:
- 3-year work experience in customer service working with diverse populations
- Proficient with basic office equipment
- Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others
- Proficient computer skills, experience using Raiser's Edge strongly preferred
- Experience processing membership transactions and data entry
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
- Work ethic: be dependable, punctual, and reliable
