The coaches will work with team captains to facilitate practice plans and teach drills. They will teach strategy, attend every practice, or competition, and the coach will help manage team dynamics. The coach will also work with the club’s executive board, who oversee all scheduling and fundraising efforts.This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Club Sports and indirectly to all Campus Recreation professional staff members and sport club officers. The Club Wrestling team falls under Campus Recreation and is not associated with Athletics.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide skill development for college students and cater to a variety of skill levelsTo organize safe and appropriate sport sessionsTo supervise/mentor/guide the participating members of each clubAttend all team practices and gamesDuty to act in an emergency by performing emergency evacuations; provide First-Aid, CPR, AED based on current certificationOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Previous experience in coaching or participating in specific sportFlexible, availability and high level of responsibilityHigh school diploma or GED/equivalentFirst-Aid, CPR, AED, & Blood Borne Pathogen certifications- must receive within 90 days of starting.Special Instructions to Applicants: Initial review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
