Be part of a team dedicated to safety well-being and honoring choice!As an employee working within the Aging and People with Disabilities Program you will assist older adults and people with disabilities of all ages to achieve well-being through opportunities for community living employment family support and services that promote independence choice and dignity.We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Clerical Staff (Office Specialist 2) to join our dynamic Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) team in Klamath Falls.Summary of DutiesAs an Office Specialist 2 you will:Greet and assist clients in person and by phone direct calls and messages to the right staff.Process applications verify documents and update/schedule appointments in the ONE system.Prepares new case files develops and organizes new filing systems.Issue and manage EBT cards and temporary medical cards; assist clients with related issues.Manage incoming mail maintain organized case files and oversee filing/scanning (including Laserfiche).Support lobby/reception tasks including opening/closing and maintaining materials.Collaborate with staff by sharing information offering solutions and supporting decision-making.Minimum Qualifications Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding word processing or other experience generating documentsORAn associate degree in any fieldORAn equivalent combination of education and experienceEssential AttributesWe are looking for candidates with:Experience in a reception setting providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.Demonstrated experience using clear verbal and written communication to assist and interact with the public in a professional setting.Utilizes Microsoft Office tools to create documents spreadsheets and presentations manage schedules and communicate effectively with clients colleagues and community partners.Skilled in de-escalating emotionally charged situations using active listening calm communication and trauma-informed approaches.Experience using time management organization and prioritization skills to track and complete tasks.Attention all candidates! On rare occasions an overnight stay may be required while supporting other office locations including Lake County.You may interact with individuals experiencing trauma or emotional distress. There may be times when individuals have difficulties with managing their emotional responses.
