Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSet-up, program and operate CMM machines. The department is structured as a formal team and requires the ability to work within the team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Write programs and make adjustments to adhere to established specifications or faulty programming.Maintain required SPC log and assure complianceMonitor and operate CMM MachineResponsible for all changeoversRead and interpret blueprints, customer specificationsMake general decisions as to quality, tolerance and operation sequenceComplete quality charts, traceability forms and MRP forms accuratelyPractice proper lockout/tagout procedures.Operates other machinery and equipment as needed.Maintains a clean and safe working area.Perform various visual and/or manual activities to inspect or verify the accuracy of a part.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Various other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent required.CMM, CNC or other Programming Experience PreferredCompetenciesAbility to follow established proceduresStrong attention to detail Mechanical AptitudeKnowledge of SPCKnowledge of AITF16949 quality standardsManual dexterity sufficient to assembly, pack, and/or grip and operate equipmentCommunication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employeesComputer literacy skills include the ability to perform basic data entry and to operate visual ‘touch screen’ display panels.Math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are required.Ability to work effectively with peopleSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment.
