Key Responsibilities Develop validate and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software. Interpret complex engineering drawings CAD models and GD&T specifications. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM. Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement anomalies. Select appropriate fixturing probes and measurement strategies for various parts. Generate comprehensive inspection reports and analyze measurement data. Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications. Demonstrated experience with CMM operation setup and maintenance. Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement uncertainty. Bonus Qualifications Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser trackers portable measuring arms). Proficiency in CAD software beyond basic model import (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA Creo) for model manipulation or fixture design. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques. Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for CMM hardware or software.
