Key Responsibilities Develop write and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings. Interpret complex GD&T specifications and translate them into effective CMM measurement routines. Execute precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMM equipment. Analyze measurement data identify non-conformances and generate detailed inspection reports. Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors measurement discrepancies and equipment issues. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize part inspection processes and quality standards. Maintain CMM software databases and ensure proper program version control. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D models. Hands-on experience operating troubleshooting and maintaining CMM equipment. Strong understanding of metrology principles measurement techniques and statistical process control (SPC). Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software for fixture design and model manipulation. Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser scanners optical comparators). Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software for data analysis. Ability to design and/or fabricate custom CMM fixtures. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python VBA) for automation or data processing.
