Key Responsibilities Develop validate and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software. Interpret complex engineering drawings blueprints and GD&T specifications for measurement planning. Execute First Article Inspection (FAI) in-process and final product inspections using CMM. Analyze measurement data identify non-conformances and generate detailed inspection reports. Select appropriate probes fixtures and measurement strategies for various part geometries. Troubleshoot CMM program errors machine malfunctions and measurement discrepancies. Collaborate with engineering manufacturing and quality teams on measurement solutions and process improvements. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints 2D drawings and 3D models. Experience with CMM operation calibration and basic maintenance. Knowledge of metrology principles measurement uncertainty and inspection techniques. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD design/modeling for fixture creation or part analysis. Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and data analysis. Experience operating and programming other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser scanners). Demonstrated ability to design and/or fabricate CMM holding fixtures.
