Key Responsibilities Develop validate and optimize CMM inspection programs using various software platforms. Interpret complex engineering drawings CAD models and GD&T specifications. Select appropriate CMM probes fixtures and measurement strategies for diverse parts. Execute CMM programs inspect parts and analyze measurement data for conformity. Generate comprehensive inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant teams. Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors machine malfunctions and measurement discrepancies. Collaborate with engineering manufacturing and quality departments to ensure measurement accuracy and process improvement. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and CAD models. 3 years of hands-on experience in CMM programming within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques. Bonus Qualifications Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser scanners optical comparators). Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software. Proficiency in advanced CAD modeling for fixture design or analysis. Experience with scripting or automation for CMM routines or data analysis.
