What You’ll Do Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve inspection challenges and improve process capabilityCoach and mentor junior quality techs and operators on inspection methods, measurement principles, and quality standardsContribute to ongoing SOP development, internal audits, and QMS improvement initiativesHelp drive inspection throughput and reduce bottlenecks by prioritizing tasks in alignment with production schedulesDrive AI into inspection and create efficiencies thru creating and implementing automated data collection systems and reporting.Metrology & CMM ExcellenceApply advanced GD&T interpretation and metrology techniques to validate complex geometries with exceptional accuracyProgram and Set up Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections on high-precision componentsConfirm inspection results using both CNC inspection equipment and manual/hard gaging alternatives to ensure process alignmentQuality Systems & DocumentationEngineer Quality into our processes by developing Process Control Plans, Inspection Plans and drive risk-based inspection methodologies.Contribute to PPAP’s and support Process Capability studies.Document all inspection results using Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and in full compliance with our QMS (ISO 13485, AS9100, 21 CFR Part 820)Ensure traceability and proper handling of inspected parts and recordsAssist with non-conformance escalations, investigations, and CAPA activities to drive resolution and prevent recurrenceSupport calibration tracking and maintenance of metrology systems and gages✅ What You Bring:Minimum 7 years of experience in quality engineering, focused on problem solving of complex issues, and performing and mentoring inspection and metrology processes within regulated industries (medical device or aerospace preferred)Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso programming and operating CMMsDeep understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5Experience with optical and vision-based systems (Keyence, OGP) and hard gauging methodsStrong problem-solving skills with a commitment to data integrity and complianceSolid working knowledge of statistical methods like SPC, Cpk, and risk-based inspection techniquesAbility to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate inspection results with clarity and confidence????
