Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a CMM Programmer in Shakopee, MN. Pay starts at $40hr and this is a 1st shift position.Overall PurposeThe Fixed-type CMM Programmer participates in the site inspection function by developing inspection paths for computerized coordinate measuring machines. The Fixed CMM Programmer develops direct-computer control (DCC) programs using customer part specifications in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner.Reports toSite Supervisor/Site LeadsResponsibilities(To include but not limited to the following)Client Relationship & Business DevelopmentAct as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.OperationsDetermine part inspection requirements from customer's (geometric) blueprint featuresCreate DCC inspection-path programs for fixed-type coordinate measuring machinesAdminister and/or edit previously created programsEnsure the part-inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision levelQualify and operate fixed-type CMM equipment as requiredVerify the operator's set-up is suitable, the machine is calibrated and is operationalOperate computer programming hardware and software systemsAnalyze and troubleshoot fixed-type machine set-ups and inspections paths Other duties and/or responsibilities as assignedTechnicalExpert-level proficiency developing DCC automated inspection programs, using PC-DMIS operating systems or equivalentExpert-level proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings (blueprints)Expert-level proficiency interpreting geometric dimensioning & tolerance standardsExpert-level proficiency navigating MS Windows TM and computer networksExpert-level proficiency in applied mathematics-algebra, geometry and trigIntermediate-level knowledge of surface-plate inspection techniques, measuring tools and gages Demonstrated comfort level interfacing with staff and management, while working in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated organizational and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated job diligence, attention to details and solid problem-solving skillsKnowledge, skills, abilitiesHard Skills· Proficiency in English.· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.· Ability to Coordinate, prioritize and multitask.· Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced, challenging environment.· Ability to take initiative and recognize needs.· Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material.· Ability lift /move 35 pounds.· Must have reliable transportation.Values & AttitudesGlobal team spirit· Team player· Caring for people· Open-mindedExcellence· Reactive· Resilient to pressure· RigorousCustomer focus· Client oriented· Reliable & trustworthy· FlexibleInitiative· Autonomous· Innovative· DaringWork experiencePrevious coordinate measuring machine work experience is preferred.Knowledge of PC-DMIS is necessary.EDUCATION BackgroundHigh school diploma or equivalentAssociate- or bachelor's degree in a related technical field is preferred Previous work experience in quality-inspection is preferredPrevious coordinate measuring machine work experience is preferred.About TRIGO Global Quality SolutionsFounded in 1997, TRIGO is a multinational company providing operational Quality Management solutions for the manufacturing sector, especially in the automotive and aerospace industries.
