Key Responsibilities Develop validate and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and engineering drawings. Perform accurate dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMMs. Analyze inspection data generate comprehensive reports and communicate findings to relevant departments. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes. Interpret complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements for precise measurement strategies. Select and design appropriate fixturing and probe configurations for effective part measurement. Maintain and troubleshoot CMM equipment and programs ensuring proper calibration and functionality. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints. Solid knowledge of metrology principles and various measurement techniques. Proven experience with CMM operation and programming in a manufacturing environment. Bonus Qualifications GD&T certification (e.g. ASME GDTP). Proficiency in advanced CAD modeling (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA) beyond just model import. Experience with additional metrology equipment (e.g. structured light scanners vision systems). Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
