CNC Laser Operator at PCS Technical Services

DirectHireCNC Laser OperatorRate: $20-24/hrHours: 7am-3:30pmCincinnati OHC-DResponsibilities:- Operate lasers and various hand tools; loading and unloading of sheet and plate stock calculating requirements including basic math keeping accurate counts.- Verifies settings by measuring positions first-run part and sample workpieces; adhering to our standards and procedures; ensure all measuring equipment is available and is in good working order.- Able to identify materials such as aluminum stainless steel steel armor plate etc.- Accurately clocking in and out using a hand scanner time clock; be on time for work and haveexcellent attendance. Must have a valid drivers licence and have reliable transportation.- Maintains specifications by observing the laser cutting process and adjusting the laser cuttingparameters taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; adhering to quality assuranceprocedures and processes; accurately and completely filling out paperwork.- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations; able to stand for longperiods of time can lift up to 70 lbs; can operate a forklift and jib-crane.- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements such as adding water;checking air filters; changing gasses; maintaining a clean and safe work environment by sweeping mopping and picking up trash and debris wiping down machines dumping scrap from the scrap bin.- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technicalpublications and taking notes during in-house training.Qualifications:- Operation of hand tools such as hand drills angle grinders belt sander hex wrenches screwdrivers wrenches pry bars metal files orbital sander etc.- Operate equipment such as drill presses tapping heads belt grinders pedestal grinder forklift jib crane bridge crane suction cup sheet lifter banding machine.- Measuring tools such as tape measure mics and calipers gage pins height gages.- Print reading including inch and metric.- Verbal and written communication.- Attention to detail quality minded safety minded follows procedures.- Math skills including unit conversion fractions and decimal math accurate counting.- Must have their own reliable transportation.- Able to multitask and run more than one machine/task at a time.If you possess the skills we are looking for and ready to make a positive impact apply NOW!
