This CNC Lathe Machinist role supports growing demand for tight-tolerance thermoplastic components across industrial and high-performance applications.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine precision plastic components
• Work on Method and Tsugami CNC machines (Fanuc controls)
• Install tooling, set offsets, verify workholding, and prove out setups
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Make offset and tooling adjustments to maintain tolerances
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot as needed
• Accurately document production activity
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

You'll be trusted to run independently while maintaining high quality standards.

Machines, Controls & Equipment

You'll work with:

• Method CNC Lathes (Fanuc Controls)
• Tsugami CNC Lathes (Fanuc Controls)
• Precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)

Experience with Fanuc-based controls is important for success in this role.

Materials You'll Work With

• Engineered thermoplastics
• High-performance polymer materials
• Specialty plastic components

Machining plastics requires different tooling, speeds, and chip management than metal - experience with polymers is a plus.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of CNC lathe experience
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes independently
• Experience with Fanuc controls
• Ability to read blueprints and hold tolerances
• Strong understanding of tooling and offsets
• Comfortable working in a production environment
• Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented

Preferred:

• Experience machining plastics or thermoplastics
• Experience with Method or Tsugami machines
• Ability to make minor program edits at the machine
• Experience operating multiple machines concurrently
