JOB DESCRIPTION
CNC Machinist (1st shift, Full-Time)
Location: JARP RE
$24.44 - $27.44/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 2:30pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Team Lead or Plant Management Team, the experienced CNC Machinist is responsible for evaluation of the hydraulic cylinders and/or components, identify those that can be repaired or re-used, clean, polish, hone, assemble and test those cylinders that can be. The experienced CNC machinist is also responsible for setting up and running the equipment per the appropriate work instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct inspection of parts during "run" per the work instruction and maintain part specification.
2. Responsible for maintaining tooling/inserts.
3. Conduct daily/weekly maintenance inspections of equipment and record.
4. May operate other equipment/machines as directed by supervision.
5. Must maintain flexibility as job or machining priorities change day to day.
6. Review the priority list, drain, blast or process to build in priority order.
7. Identify all parts as good or repairable and direct to proper location.
8. Wash/clean product as required.
9. Use prints and/or standard practices for proper assembly of the required components.
10. Review the work instruction, print and "J"/customer specifications for proper assembly techniques.
11. Set up and use torquer and nut-buster for assembly or disassembly of product.
12. Set-up the appropriate test stand to properly test assembled product when trained.
13. Conduct final testing and record on the correct "test log" when properly trained.
14. Maintain identification of all components during the assembly process.
MARGINAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Help keep the area clean and neat (practice housekeeping).
2. Assist with the development of more efficient manufacturing methods and procedures.
3. Check machine coolant/concentration levels and service as needed.
4. May be directed to perform other tasks due to a decrease in the work load, machine being down for maintenance or a critical need exists in another area.
5. Must be open-minded to various product designs.
6. Must be able to stay on the "task" due to the manual environment.
Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Two-year Associates Degree in Machine Tool techniques with one year of on-the-job CNC Machinist experience required
3. With no applicable degree, minimum of three years of on-the-job CNC Machinist experience required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Must be able to read and understand blue prints
2. Set up and operate precision measurement equipment
3. Must be able to work independently
