This CNC Machinist role is critical to maintaining throughput, quality, and turnaround time while giving machinists access to diverse, challenging work - not repetitive button-pushing.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines including mills, lathes, horizontal mills, and VTLs
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining strategy and tolerances
• Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding
• Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring tools
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality
• Work on complete assemblies and repair work, not just single-op parts
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to solve machining challenges

Machines, Controls & Shop Environment

You'll work with equipment such as:

• Machines: CNC mills, CNC lathes, horizontal mills, VTLs, portable machining equipment
• Controls: Predominantly Fanuc
• Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, indicators, precision measuring equipment

Materials You'll Work With

• Carbon and alloy steels
• Stainless steels
• Other industrial materials used in repair and manufacturing environments

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 1-3+ years of CNC and/or manual machining experience
• Strong blueprint reading and setup skills
• Understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, and tolerances
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on machining work
• Detail-oriented, safety-minded, and self-motivated

Preferred (Not Required):

• Journeyman Machinist certification
• Experience with horizontal machining or large-part work
• Background in repair or job-shop style environments

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay Range: $24 - $41/hr (DOE)
