CNC Machinist at Aerotek
JOB DESCRIPTION
Machinist
As a Machinist, you will play a vital role in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements, tolerances, and production methods. You will develop machining plans, setups, and process specifications to ensure accuracy and efficiency, as well as measure, mark, and prepare raw materials for machining operations.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce precision components.
- Adjust tooling, speeds, feeds, and offsets to optimize machine performance and product quality.
- Monitor production runs, troubleshoot machining issues, and make real-time adjustments to maintain efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Document production results, including approved parts, rejected materials, and completed work orders.
- Perform secondary and finishing operations such as cleaning, deburring, polishing, and grinding metal components.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment in accordance with shop and company standards.
Essential Skills
- Experience as a machinist, CNC operator, or CNC programmer (CAM software).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with CNC machine maintenance and preventive maintenance.
- Understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with DMG, HAAS, and Doosan CNC machines.
- Knowledge of 3 Axis machining, metal manufacturing, and metal forming.
- Proficiency in Mastercam programming, GD&T, and machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Experience with lathe and mill machining operations.

Work Environment
The work environment is in a brand new, air-conditioned, and heated building with a clean and organized setup. The shift will initially require training on a day schedule and then transition to a 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, working alongside a team of machinists. Some overtime may be required post-training.

This is a Permanent position based out of Twinsburg, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62400.00/yr.
