JOB DESCRIPTION
CNC Machinist
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Bearings, Seals, and Hydraulics Division. This role involves setting up and operating a variety of CNC machine tools to produce precision parts, with a focus on mechanics, shop math, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CNC setups on machines such as Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Johnford, Okuma, and Puma.
- Conduct manual machining on VTLs, Bridgeports, manual mills, and lathes.
- Adjust speeds, feeds, and tool offsets, and perform tool changes.
- Edit G&M codes and programs, and follow programming using systems like Fanuc and Mastercam.
- Conduct machine changeovers for shorter run times.
- Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Read and interpret blueprints and perform surface grinding on flat plates.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using shop math and instruments.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
Essential Skills:
- 3+ years of high-level CNC setup experience on larger parts.
- Proficiency in G&M coding and program edits.
- Experience with Fanuc controls.
- Ability to load parts using an overhead crane.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Experience with quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of GD&T and shop math.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with manual machining on VTLs, Bridgeports, manual mills, manual lathes, and turning centers.
- Full CNC programming experience, including conversational or CAD/CAM.
- Experience with Mastercam.
- Tool and die experience.
- Surface grinding experience on flat plates.

Work Environment:
The work environment is a large machining facility with a job shop setup. The shop floor is clean, organized, and features a mix of old and new equipment, with regular upgrades. The shift is 2nd, from 2pm to 12:30am, Monday through Thursday, with an 8-hour shift on Friday and some Saturdays. There is a 20% shift differential for hours worked on the 2nd shift. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift for at least 90 days.

This is a Permanent position based out of Euclid, OH.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83200.00/yr. See me for company benefits.
