Cnc Machinist at Aerotek
JOB DESCRIPTION
CNC Machinist
The CNC Machinist will perform physical operations on a machining center, organizing cell workflow and planning necessary machining sequences for optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The role requires understanding and meeting all inspection requirements for compliance with the appropriate drawings and referenced specifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies.
- Monitor and measure to ensure all products meet customer expectations.
- Ensure all manufacturing and quality-related tools/materials are calibrated and of the latest revision.
- Plan machining with a fluent understanding of assets and related equipment.
- Review all specifications, prints/drawings, and programs, understanding all Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
- Set up machines with fluency in program downloading and editing. Have asset control knowledge using 'Fanuc or Siemens' interface and navigate controls to improve operations.
- Maintain the work cell and environment to premium standards.
- Calibrate and ensure proper use and care of inspection and test equipment.
- Maintain the work area in compliance with good housekeeping practices and 6S principles.
- Provide feedback for Continuous Improvement (C.I.) and address issues necessary for compliance.
- Populate Daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 6S operator interface checks.
- Collect quality target data for reporting by CNC Machining Cell as defined.
- Participate in company-promoted events such as 6S, TPM, and other operational C.I. programs.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machining and machine operation.
- Knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret blueprints.
- Experience with lathe, grinder, mill, and machining equipment.
- Fluency in program downloading and editing using 'Fanuc or Siemens' interfaces.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with maintaining work area compliance with good housekeeping practices.
- Ability to provide feedback for Continuous Improvement.
- Experience with 6S and TPM practices.

Work Environment
This position is on the 3rd Shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. The Aurora facility is a tight-knit operation with long-tenured employees who take pride in their work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Aurora, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67537.60 - $67537.60/yr.
