CNC Machinist Apprentice at Leidos

Leidos Mechanical Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist Apprentice to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems.Apprentices will learn the following skill sets during the program:Part Layout prior to machiningSetup and operate manual milling machines.Setup and operate manual lathe machines.Setup and program operate CNC Mill and LathesConduct general housekeeping and maintenance.Primary Responsibilities:Leidos Mechanical Manufacturing Apprenticeship is a competency-based program. During the apprenticeship the apprentice shall receive work experience and job-related education in all phases of the occupation including safe work practices necessary to develop the skill and proficiency of a skilled professional.The term of the apprenticeship is 36 competencies supplemented by the 1530 total hours of related instruction resulting in 2 MTT certificates.Apprentices will attend college work instruction during Non-Work/Non-Paid Hours.
