Why This Role Exists

Tecomet is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II to support its precision manufacturing operations for mission-critical medical device and aerospace components. This role is essential to producing complex, tight-tolerance parts in a clean, well-equipped, and climate-controlled environment.

The Work You'll Be Doing

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce parts within tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and G/M-code
• Make minor program edits, adjust tooling offsets, and replace worn tooling
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
• Perform basic maintenance per daily checklist and PM schedule
• Maintain job routers, documentation, and quality records
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and 5S best practices
• Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and QC personnel

Machines, Controls & Materials

• Equipment: CNC Mills (3-5 Axis), CNC Lathes
• Controls: Fanuc, Siemens, others
• Materials: Titanium, stainless steel, cobalt chrome, aluminum, plastics

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong setup skills on CNC mills or lathes
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Ability to operate independently with attention to quality
• Excellent documentation and safety habits

Preferred:

• Experience in medical device or aerospace industries
• Multi-machine or mill-turn experience
• Machinist certificate or associate's degree in machining
