CNC Machinist III at AeroTEC, Inc.

Work Authorization: Must meet U.S. Person requirements (ITAR / Export Compliance)
Why This Role Exists
This role exists to support ongoing aerospace manufacturing and flight test programs at AeroTEC's AS9100D-certified Manufacturing Center in Moses Lake, WA.
AeroTEC supports aircraft design, testing, instrumentation, certification, and advanced propulsion programs. This CNC Machinist position plays a key role in producing precision components, tooling, and experimental parts used in real-world aerospace development and electrification programs.
This is not commodity production machining - it is hands-on aerospace manufacturing tied directly to engineering and flight test operations.
The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis)
- Create and run CNC programs using Siemens NX
- Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding
- Fabricate precision parts for aircraft tooling and models
- Machine components supporting flight test programs
- Assemble aircraft parts and subassemblies
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust feeds/speeds as needed
- Support warehouse tooling and fabrication projects
- Research and complete purchase requisitions for project needs
- Perform fabrication work including welding when required
Work is high-mix and project-driven, supporting experimental aerospace applications.

- Siemens NX CAD/CAM
Inspection Equipment:
- Dukin MHB CMM (CMM Manager Software)
- FARO Arm 3D Laser Scanner
- NDT (Liquid Fluorescent Penetrant & UT Equipment)
- Granite Surface Plate & Certified Hand Tools

What We're Looking For
Required:
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience (milling)
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience
- Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Ability to perform setups independently
- Experience holding aerospace-level tolerances
- Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
Preferred:
- Formal coursework or certification in CNC Machining
- CNC Programming certification
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting prototype or experimental programs

Pay, Benefits & Schedule
Pay Range: $35 - $45 per hour (DOE)

Schedule:
