CNC Machinist Lead at Resonetics

This individual will have oversight of CNC team members and would be responsible for the work of the group. They would be responsible for troubleshooting machining issues and planning and ordering materials and tooling necessary for production. They would also work closely with the engineers for troublesooting.1st shift: 6am-2pm (Monday-Friday)ResponsibilitiesSet-up and operate CNC machines. (Mill ECG EDM)Program new parts and improve existing parts using Esprit or Solidcam softwareOversee jobs ensuring consistent quality is achieved participate in basic process development on Resonetics technologyMentor and train CNC operators and machinistsWork with customers on new projectsHelp with equipment setup utilizing loosely defined setup process and basic troubleshooting of Resonetics technology workstationsAbility to work under minimal supervision taking responsibility to complete assigned tasksDocument process parameters and project details for each project accurately per Resonetics Quality Systems requirementsGood understanding of how to develop processesUpdate data in Resonetics digital systems for responsibilities as instructed with feedback from EngineeringUtilize applicable inspection equipment to perform tight tolerance visual inspection of product for complex partsRead and interpret print specifications on projects ensure all required visual and geometric measurements are taken and documented per Quality Systems requirementsMust ensure assigned tasks are completed within the defined timeline whileensuring safety and quality are never sacrificedSeeks continuous self-improvement open and willing to accept constructivecriticismProvide project guidance and technical skill training for Application Development TechniciansDemonstrating and training manufacturing methods to Production operators to support new Resonetics programsAbility to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processesEmployee must conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance.Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications4 years of CNC set up or similar4 years of programming experience using Esprit and or Solid Cam2 years Experience leading small groupsHigh School diploma or EquivalentAbility to create job related documentation for quality purposesAbility to read and understand engineering drawings per GD&T systemStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience and/or training in production setting and comparable manufacturing preferred.Proven understanding of tooling requirements to setup and operate CNC machines including pre-setting of tools.Ability toread and edit programs.Familiarity with ISO Quality System particularly in medical device manufacturing.Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.Srong math background preferable in machine math/shop math.Ability to apply software used on high precision manufacturing equipment (G-code).Familiarity with ISO certified Quality Systems particularly in medical device manufacturingBasic understanding of materials science and materials properties especially for common medical device materials (Nitinol Stainless Steels Titanium & other metals Medical Polymers and Ceramics)Ability to create and troubleshoot programs for inspection devices and other auxiliary equipmentAbility to generate drawings and models with 2D & 3D software using GD&T (Solidworks).CompensationThecompensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.
