Machine Fabricating LLC is a mixed fabrication and machining job shop celebrating 29 years of service and operating under new ownership since 2018. This role exists to support steady job shop demand and ensure high-quality custom parts are produced efficiently and accurately.

This position plays a key role in delivering precision machined components across a wide range of industries, supporting both short-run and repeat production work.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, primarily Haas VF-4 and VF-11
• Work directly from blueprints to plan machining methods and sequences
• Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding independently
• Program and edit CNC programs at the machine as required
• Run high-mix, small production jobs typical of a job shop environment
• Perform in-process inspection to verify part accuracy
• Maintain above-average attention to detail on all parts
• Perform secondary operations such as deburring while machines are running

This is a hands-on, self-sufficient machinist role - not just a button-pushing position.

CNC Machines:

• Haas VF-4 (50" travel)
• Haas VF-11
• Haas ST-15, ST-30, ST-35
• Haas VF-2

Manual Equipment:

• Bridgeport Mills
• Monarch, Hendley, Lodge & Shipley Lathes
• Surface Grinder
• Cincinnati Mills
• Shapers & Slotters

This shop blends modern CNC equipment with heavy-duty manual machinery in a true fabrication + machining environment.

Materials You'll Work With

• Mild and Alloy Steel
• Stainless Steel
• Various industrial materials typical of job shop environments

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience setting up and running CNC mills independently
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to program some of your own work
• Strong understanding of tooling selection and setup
• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated and reliable

Preferred:

• Experience with Haas controls
• Experience in a small job shop environment
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities
