Client has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join their team on afternoons or nights. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC Machine. Machinists will produce precision gas engine components utilizing a variety of lathes, mills, and grinders within a clean, organized, and collaborative team setting. Additionally, the Machinist will:

1. Set-up and operation of miscellaneous CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, CNC Grinder, Shapers, and/or manual machines.

2. Grind and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.

3. Perform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications.

4. Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.

5. Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensures that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.

6. Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.

7. Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.

8. Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.

9. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

o High School Diploma or GED

o 4 + years' experience with lathes, grinders, or mills

o Machine specific training is available

o Previous experience with precision machining is desirable

o Experience with aerospace materials such as SST, Inconels, Hast X, Aluminum, etc. is a plus.

o Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, planning, and manufacturing specifications

o Possess the fundamentals in GD&T

o Ability to work afternoons or nights

o 2nd shift - 10% differential; 3rd shift - 15% differential

o Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).

o U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
