We are seeking a CNC Machinist (Set Up Relief Operator) at our Cudahy, WI facility to work the weekend night shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6pm-6am, with training held on 1st shift for 60-90 days, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. Following training you will work 36 hours but will be paid for 40. This position is responsible for all complete setups of CNC machines and running them on a relief basis.Position responsibilities include:Follows engineering setup charts to perform initial assembly of toolsPerforms complete disassembly of jobsArranges toolingInterprets program to install all tools in the machine and establish and put in offsetsPerforms complete machining of first pieceVerifies all dimensions on machines to corresponds with drawingRunning machines in a relief basisRequirements:High school diploma or equivalency requiredAbility to read blueprints5-7 years of CNC experienceMachining certificate preferred If you are organized, motivated and can work independently and as a part of a dynamic team, please contact us. Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications) Experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Center Operator/Machinist Experience with metal forgings Machining Certification. Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives Strong knowledge of basic machining principles, GD&T and ability to read blueprints Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
