Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery (lathes mills grinders) according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and work orders to determine setup procedures. Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers gauges). Monitor machine operations detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality. Load and unload parts deburr and inspect finished components for conformity to specifications. Perform routine machine maintenance cleaning and minor troubleshooting. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience operating setting up and troubleshooting CNC mills and/or lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints technical drawings and G-code/M-code. Skilled in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers bore gauges) for quality inspection. Strong understanding of machining principles tooling selection and various material properties. Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and identify common operational issues. Experience with CAM software (e.g. Mastercam Fusion 360) for program editing and optimization. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD software for fixture design or part modification. Proficiency in operating and interpreting CMM reports for quality inspection. Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced G-code editing and optimization capabilities.
