At Prosper-Tech Machine & Tool, this position plays a key role in developing and optimizing CNC turning processes for high-mix, small-batch components used in Aerospace, Space, Defense, and Medical Device applications. This is not a "monitor the machine" role - it's a hands-on engineering position focused on precision, process control, and continuous improvement.
The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Program and optimize multi-axis CNC turning centers
- Set up and validate new machining processes
- Select tooling, determine workholding, and refine cutting strategies
- Develop setup sheets and process documentation
- Estimate cycle times, tooling cost, and production flow
- Perform first-article validation and in-process troubleshooting
- Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool paths to maintain quality
- Train and support setup machinists and operators
- Collaborate with leadership, planners, QC, and machinists
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards
This is a high-impact role in a professional, quality-driven shop environment.
Machines, Controls & Software
You'll work with equipment such as:
- Machines: Multi-channel dual-turret turn-mill lathes with sub-spindles
- Controls: Fanuc
- CAM Software: Hypermill (Mastercam or similar experience transferable)
- Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gauges

What We're Looking ForRequired:
- 5+ years of CNC turning and programming experience
- Experience with live tooling, Y-axis, and sub-spindle lathes
- Strong proficiency with Fanuc controls
- Experience with Hypermill or similar CAM software
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
- Ability to design tooling and fixturing solutions
- Process-driven mindset with troubleshooting ability
- Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
Preferred (Not Required):
- Aerospace or Medical machining experience
- Multi-axis or turn-mill experience
- Engineering degree (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field)

Pay, Benefits & Schedule
Pay Range: $35 - $45/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Overtime: Available as needed
